So much for posting once a week! ha!
We have been running from one thing to the next, but that all stopped last Wednesday, the 2nd of February, when we were hit with the "blizzard" that covered Chicago, Indiana, Michigan and parts of Ohio in snow. Because Dad wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get to the office on Wednesday, he brought his laptop and some of his work home. On Wednesday morning our county was on a level 3 snow emergency, so Dad wasn't able to leave for work. So he stayed home and set up the card table in his and mom's room. He also had a little buddy, Bella, who came up very frequently to push her nose against the door, which is one of the ways that she asks to be let into a room when a door is closed. Bella then decided to lay down and sleep right next to dad's "desk." Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of Bella sitting right next to dad's makeshift desk, but it would have been a cute picture. We got about 5 inches of snow and 1 inch of sleet during the "blizzard", which was not as much as they expected for our area.
More snow came again on Saturday. But this time we were actually driving in it! Dad called it a "white out" because he couldn't even see 5 feet in front of the van. During that snowfall, we got about 6 inches. The flakes were so huge! It was gorgeous!!
Friday evening Grandma E, Dad's mom, came into town to stay for the weekend, but ended up leaving Monday morning. On Friday night, Grandma, Daniel, Lydia, Bella and I watched Toy Story 3 in the basement while mom and dad did their Growing Kids God's Way class, which was supposed to happen on Tuesday night, but was cancelled because of the snow coming. On Saturday, we went to musical called "Fiddler on the Roof." Grandma loved it! She had the songs some of the songs from the program in her head the remainder of the weekend.
In January, Mom and Dad started leading another Growing Kids God's Way class on Tuesday nights. My mom's youngest brother, Reed, and his wife Lisa are also doing a class too, but theirs is on Sundays. They did their 5th seession on Sunday. As I type, Mom and Dad are leading their 5th meeting downstairs.
A few Sundays ago, Mom and Dad sat down to talk about where we are going to go on vacation this year. They came up with a few different places, but the dates and such aren't quite set in stone. The places they'd like to take us this year are: Washington D.C., New York City and Charleston, SC for the GFI Conference. I am sure that they have more vacations that they're planning, but they just haven't talked to us about them yet. :)
As you can see, I don't have any pictures, but plan on posting some soon.
I am very sorry to say that I still haven't posted anything on Christmas, New Years, me with braces, Dan and Lydia's family birthday party back in October and pictures of the beautiful snow.
We hope that you all are doing well!
Love,
Hannah (for The E Family)

I wasn't too crazy about the weather we were hit with either. But one thing that was good for me, school was cancelled on Tuesday. That meant more time for me to study. That's always a good thing, right? I'm sure you will have fun on your vacation this year no matter where you go. Family vacations are great.
