The Christmas Tree and More!!!

I promised that I would post pictures of the Christmas tree and now, three days before Christmas and after one family Christmas, I am finally posting pictures of the tree.  I hope that sometime during the rest of our Christmas break, I'll be able to post pictures of that one family Christmas that we have had so far.

We used to have a tree that was a lot wider, but it was too big to fit in the space that we had available.  So, Mom got this one from one of her favorite stores in the area.  We decorated our old tree with more memorable ornaments, than just ones that look good, but we got more and more each year, so eventually it was getting just too full.  The thing that's kind of annoying about it is that we can't really fit very many presents underneath the tree, so they are put wherever they fit near the tree! 

Because the Family Tree was getting too full, Mom and Dad decided to get each of us kids our own tree to put in our rooms during Christmas.  The one above is mine.  

This one is Daniel's.

This is Becca's.

And last but not least, this is Lydia's.

This is Mom's Willow Tree creche that she got from Dad for Christmas last year.

This is the way that we hang up the Christmas cards that we receive from friends and family.  We like to put them here because then as we're eating meals in the kitchen, we can look at all of the different people who sent us their picture.  They usually stay here until about February or March.

This is our mantle.  We do have stockings that we put up as well, but Dad took them down yesterday so that they wouldn't catch on fire while the fireplace was going.
