We went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum on the second day. Here are all of us with the Lincoln family in front of the White House ha ha. They were nice people, but they were awfully stiff.

Lincoln lived in New Salem from about 1831-1837.
Walking into a replica of Lincoln's first store in New Salem, called Berry-Lincoln.
We then traveled south to St. Louis, MO, staying with our friends the Ruserts.
The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial-The Arch, the arch is 630 feet high. Those tiny people standing in front of the Arch, are us!
We crammed into a car made for five people that took us to the top of the Arch. No one got sick! The view from the top of the Arch was awesome!!
Daniel and Lydia were able to cool off a little bit in the fountains at the City Gardens in St. Louis.
City Museum in St. Louis was like no other museum we had ever seen. It was an old warehouse full of mazes made of recycled architecture from old buildings, airplanes, slides and many more. They were put to together for children, as well as adults, to climb on. Mom even had fun climbing the 3-story maze outside. This picture shows Mr. Rusert , Becca, Daniel and Lydia climbing from an old plane up into a tube made from wire mesh. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!
The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis took 75 years for 20 artists to complete 83,000 square feet of intricate mosaics. It took our breath away.
We enjoyed the free St. Louis Zoo.
